Well I thought maybe it was time for this weeks sketch theme! I was just talking to my wife about stuff i did as a kid and all that and it had me thinking about when i was in school. So i thought we should do a moment as a kid that we remember most. First fight in school, the first girl you wrote a love letter to, the first school dance you rocked your high top fade and hammer pants....whatever it maybe. I'll have something up this week.

For this next sketch jam I submit the next topic, as seen in this photo, robots and andriods. As in previous sketch jamz the only criteria here is the subject matter. It doesnt matter whether it's a rough sketch or your latest master piece. Just as long as it's an artificial automaton of some kind. Do not draw the one on the right. He is not a robot. He is an actor. A very, very annoying actor. Now go draw something!

Hey everybody! My names Randolph, and this is my Black Wonder Woman. First off, I know this ain't as good as the other stuff posted for this subject, but it's the best I could do with the time I had to do it. And besides that I don't draw women very well (It's a weak point I'm working on). I'll do more than a quick sketch next time, I promise.
Now on to the concept. I wanted to convey that all impowered black women can be wonder women. I wanted to stray away from the bright costume and magic lasso, and focus on the every-day woman asserting her power. Walking the streets in this modern era, knowing who she is, where she came from, and believing in her own potential. She is Wonder Woman. because she has put her work in to be. She teaches other women how to find the Amazon in themselves.
Well there it is. I've got a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" coming too. I know It's late, but I really want to draw it. Peace!
(WARNING: GEEK OUT MOMENT!!!)
Dawud, I'm a huge fan of your work! Brother Man was a great inspiration to me, and heavily influenced my work. Not only for what you did, but how you did it, thank you! It's one of the reasons why I'm persuing self-publishing.
OK, that is all.
Pencilism!

I call her SISTA MAAT. To be honest I tend not to make pre-existing characters Black but for the All-Stars there is the exception to the rule. I did the rough in about 10 minutes during lunch but took the time to paint it after work. I call her MAAT as the symbol on her breastplate reflects the ancient Kemetic symbol of Truth, Justice, Reciprocity, Propriety and Balance. I even put her in a semi-yoga position without trying to get too deep. I still had fun with this. Glad to be able to finally get something posted up here with the rest of the crew!
Dah!
