Drawing In Motion

I always wanted to see my drawings and paintings move. Since i got the spider bite last week I've been inspired to start animating. Here is quick test animation I did of a camera.

Janurary Art

Hey guys. It's been a while. I'm endeavoring to do more original art this year and get some prints out. Here are two drawings I did this past month:

Big Bang Theory fan art

Lately I've gotten heavily immersed in the fandom of the show The Big Bang Theory, doing an insane amount of fan art for my favorite duo, Sheldon and Penny.

Someone wrote a story that involved Sheldon and Penny as FBI Agents Mulder and Scully, and I had to draw them as such. The shocking part is that I colored it and actually liked the end result.

You can see more art HERE @ my blog.

random portrait sketch

As a general rule I don't draw people I haven't met face to face. They tend to get insulted but I figured Dawood seems like a pretty laid back person so why not try? With a few spare minutes and nothing else to go on but that tiny profile avatar, this is the quickie that I came up with.

Spontaneous by Samax

i didn't realize until now that i hadn't dropped anything on here about my book, Spontaneous:Spring 2008 that i put out in march. it's a sketchbook/magazine/freestyle comic, created by me! it's 64 pages, 8 1/2 x 11, and in full color. i'm already started on the summer issue, which will be done (hopefully!) in june.
whether you know it or not, the people on this blog are a big inspiration for this, so thanks guys! (and girls!)
holla!

stargate atlantis fan art

Here's some more fan art from the art fest I participated in on LJ—Painted Spires. It was just the thing to get my creative juices flowing. :) Seriously, I think this is a record for most completed art pieces in the shortest period of time. I completed all these in about a week span, though I started on the last one first.
