Still working on my painting. Need to do more color experiments.

Greetings all.
I am new at this and type terribly so please bare with the slow rate at which the blog will be written. (wow I'm blogging now!) One of the things I like about this blog set up is the pg. layout in black and the way it scrolls. Many artists have this style pg. for their art and it just seems to work. I have been invited to participate on "Sketchbook Allstars" and have been very slow in posting. Thanks for the invitation brother Mcgee!! .
My primary reason for initiating this blog is interactions with my peers and deep penetration on the internet. Many new and old clients have found me doing simple searches. This has been very functional for me on a number of levels. I also have many thing to express [just look at the vids on my myspace pg.] myspace.com/mshindoi
So sit back and enjoy the slow scenic route. Many blessings to all!!!

The image is a palette experiment using a young lady I found on face book. I just loved her facial structure and lips. Beautiful lips! Done in PS and took about8hrs.

Art dump update!

So I haven't posted in a very long time. I know and it looks like everyone here has been busy or even more busy than I have and it made me feel left out. Anyway here is a taste of some of my personal stuff that I am working on these days. I have been focusing heavily on movement lately cause I started working on my animation portfolio and demo reel. It is about time I just go ahead and start putting myself out there. I am currently working but I want to start working more toward getting into animation which is the whole reason I ever started drawing anyway. My job is in NYC and I have one hell of a commute everyday but I figure I may as well take as much advantage of it as I can so I plan to see if I can find some figure drawing classes in the city and start going. A friend told me they have classes at SVA every Wednesday that are open so I am going to try and hit that tomorrow and with luck things will all fall right into place before June gets here.

Anyway I am just rattleing on. Enjoy the art.

Harry's Burrito Junction

I took this pic on a recent trip back to my home town, NYC. Back in the early nineties I got my first freelance gig designing a logo for my ex girlfriends boss. I won't embarrass myself by revealing the salary I made on it but I was happy to start my career with such a high profile. Little did I know back then that in less than 20 years my art would be roving around the streets of New York and San Franciso.

old new stuff....

Hey people,

l have been working on so much junk and wanted to drop an old drawing that l think some of you might like...l drew this a few years ago and it seems a bit funky in spots...well a ton of spots but hey that's life.

Working at Marvel is great..working on the Xmen line is crazy . l have been drawing....wait, l can't tell you....not yet anyways. l will be on here more....drawing and talking art.

The first book that l did at Marvel is Black Panther , written by Reginald Hudlin. larry Stroman and l are doing the art...36 pages of love...trust me it is a story every person of color should read. The book comes out this month....Black History should be celebrated every month but until then feb will have to do.

peace
