With the help of some friends, I have compiled a roster of talented artists to contribute to a weekly sketch jam by invitation only. Every week or so we will settle on an idea and will each take a stab at illustrating the concept. The level of completion can be anything from a rough sketch to a finished rendering. This blog is intended, for those who are involved, to be an opportunity to challenge one another, to challenge ourselves, and to connect with our contemporaries in the field.

hahaha this is funny. Yo man I remember those days! I used to hate going but mom was always like oh u need a haircut. I like the blue background and the little boy in color! The drawing is really good too. Your message is conveyed well. yeah but it kinda misses the theme.
awesome drawing and coloring job but ya missed the theme homie.
Yeah I missed the theme I did not scrroll down and read the initial post.
I might try again if I have the time or wait for the next theme.
Thanks for the comments.
Man your too ill with it like I said b4 love the atmosphere in this just brings me back to when I rockked the wave cut with the rose design at the back sweet day thanks for the flash back bro excellent work!!!!!!!
I think this fits the theme ok. I mean, in the post it said to pay a lot of attention to environment as well as character. I mean, we're artists here, so I think there's room for some leeway as long as the overally feeling of loneliness or being overwhelmed by one's surroundings is conveyed. But that's just what how I interpreted it.*shrug*
But, yeah, about the drawing. . . I think it's great. I really like your attention to detail, and I find the subject cute and sad at the same time (collective "awwww"). I love the tufts of hair on his shoulders.
Yo Q This drawingis slick. It looks like you threw yourself into it. No prize tho on the theme but definitely a successful drawing in my opinion. I really like the shadows of the blinders.
