Portrait of Ken
I did this last night in about an hour. It probably took me so long because, like a genius, I decided to use one mechanical pencil for everything. This is Ken, who writes a blog called Steam.

That's awesome. I bet the likeness is spot on.
great head study! one thing to consider is unifying the tones on the shadow side so they are not fragmented. this will add a solidity to to the head . and check all your axial planes so that they are aligned. exp, angle of mouth to angles of eyes ,angle of nose. this drawing really has a life to it .

Thanks guys. If someone was paying for this I would have spent more time on the dark shadow areas. You can tell I spent a lot more time on the face.
