Old to New... wow, guess folks are busy :)

Well since I didn't post last week's old to new, I'll do it today, since the posts have been scarce this week.. (sound of crickets.... )

Not really, new, new, but I updated her a couple months ago. (left, is the "then")

It has been quiet on here. I thought people stopped drawing altogether. Anyway I see how u rethought out the usage of color in the face and hair. Is the original digital or traditional? The new one looks digital. I would like to see stronger contrast of light and dark sorta how Brian reworked my drawing. This will help describe yor forms better and show a strong light source. I would suggest softening her features a little more but since you were reproducing the original you stayed true. Other than that I'm glad you posted up!

Beautiful colors on the hair The cools and warms. And I like the brush texture too. Very soothing. ahhhhh.

the original was painted with gouache, and was without any contrast.. :( the new one is digital. But as I've been painting digitally, I've been learning more about my color composition, working with shadow, hightlights, etc... Thanks for the tips though, I continue to learn. This was one of my first pieces using this painting technique I learned from a co-worker. been building on it since.
