Digital Sumi

Sup errybody? Here's a sketch that I just came across and thought I'd post it up. I was experimenting with Corel painter trying to achieve a water color/ Sumi brush look. It's Samurai Jack if you didn't guess already.

You did your thing on this.
It would be cool to see it animated because it truly looks like its in motion.

I'm loving Painter(9) myself right now. I mainly use the pencil and pens (fine point). Painter is a really strong application with many options, so I definitely appreciate what you did with this piece. Did you use a textured background?

I used to come by this blog often . . . but wassup with errybody. It's like nothing is popping. I'm just stating this from the position of fan. No body owes me anything, I'm just saying.

You're right, as many members as this blog has the content is languishing!
I guess I should start removing people who don't participate after all.
As for the background, the wash was done in painter but the distressed texture was added in Photoshop.
