With the help of some friends, I have compiled a roster of talented artists to contribute to a weekly sketch jam by invitation only. Every week or so we will settle on an idea and will each take a stab at illustrating the concept. The level of completion can be anything from a rough sketch to a finished rendering. This blog is intended, for those who are involved, to be an opportunity to challenge one another, to challenge ourselves, and to connect with our contemporaries in the field.

whassup everybody, jut getting back at ya'll. I'm glad you guys was feelin the superman piece, now to answer some questions. I first drew this piece as a sketch, then layed a piece of tracing paper on top of it, pulled out my Burne Hogarth's book of dynamic anatomy for reference and went to town. I then scanned in both pieces of art into PS2, hit multiply layer, and messed with the transparency. I then opened a layer and filled in superman's regular colors in a very flat sort of way, clicked on filters and motion blurred the crap out of it, so that it just looked like a smear. The final touch was the S logo on his cape, which I googled and dragged into my art piece, skewed it to match the perspective and then just multiplied it and messed with the transparency on each one.
Thanx for all the support ya'll, I'm just an animation designer trying to hang with all ya'll Illustration heavy hitters,
hehehehehehe
