Soul Powered
This is the first digital painting I've completed in two years. I did it for the Soul Powered Art Show hosted by Ken Patterson at seven*studios in Jackson, MS.
I did the drawing in pencil, and colored it using photoshop cs2.
With the help of some friends, I have compiled a roster of talented artists to contribute to a weekly sketch jam by invitation only. Every week or so we will settle on an idea and will each take a stab at illustrating the concept. The level of completion can be anything from a rough sketch to a finished rendering. This blog is intended, for those who are involved, to be an opportunity to challenge one another, to challenge ourselves, and to connect with our contemporaries in the field.

Love the colors and styling of this. Still looks very traditinally painted.
Beautiful colors!! I love this.
Thanks guys. :)
Yo' You gonna go far - your graphic design skill are all over your work - and to me - nowadayz - those are the kats that get all the doe - the ones who have the ability to do a cartoon/illustration style and yet incorporate good graphic design to make it a finished marketable image. Most of your pieces look like advertisement for top corps. You not only say to the world "Hey look what i can do"
You say " Look what I can do and how it is extremely marketable.
I really see you doing your own graphic novel in the near future - and if not a novel, a thick book of art that you have done sitting on that shelf at Barnes and Noble.
All the above for what it's worth
