With the help of some friends, I have compiled a roster of talented artists to contribute to a weekly sketch jam by invitation only. Every week or so we will settle on an idea and will each take a stab at illustrating the concept. The level of completion can be anything from a rough sketch to a finished rendering. This blog is intended, for those who are involved, to be an opportunity to challenge one another, to challenge ourselves, and to connect with our contemporaries in the field.
I hope this is more along the lines of the theme for the week, my first attempt @ a bg on the pc so the colours suck cause there not the ones I chose but I'm new to this so bare with the kid. I'm going to add a character later maybe when I get this shit right...

Bravo!! I can't beleive this is your first attempt at computer art, man. Excellent work! I definitely get a sense of mood and atmosphere here. The first set of drawings you posted looked more like some works from a life drawing class. I didnt get a sense of mood, lighting or story from them. Hope my crit wasn't too dickish. :-P
