Tree Dragon revisited

At the request of one Lawrence Xmas I decided to give my concept a color treatment. These are the most obvious colors, at least to my eye, but it's a color combination that I like and use a lot.

AJENABI

Photobucket

Two years ago an outbreak of dead animals began to puzzle people in parts of East Africa. There were reports of a spider the size of a man's fist seen eating these animals. Soon after they began eating people by pinching them with their stinger and then they would begin to feast on your flesh like we would eat fast food.

These demons were said to be creatures from space because they just showed up out of nowhere and now have even been seen in the United States!!!! The people of East Africa called this beast . . . AJENABI or as we would say . . ALIEN!

I drew this from a verbal description from a friend in Africa who has seen one.

Hope I didn't scare anybody . . just bringing the news.

New Sketch Jam!!!

Create an animal/creature that doesn't exist in nature, and explain what it is and does.
By the way, this is just something I did a few weeks ago to get an idea down. It's not for this sketch jam.

2025 Pin-up girl

This was supposed to be for a pin-up contest but I missed the deadline. I never quite finished it but thought I'd post it. I might have gone a little overboard with proportions and musculature but it's all fun for me.

My First Acrylic Portrait...

I am currently in Oakland California for a teaching position interview in San Francisco. Well I nail it - got the job. So I will be moving to the bay area very soon. While here I decided to paint my nephew in acrylics. This is my first ever portrait done with acrylics. It was really fun. He was reading his book so I took advantage of the moment. It took about 30 mins from that time I got out my paints, set up my palette and finished the picture. I will be heading back to Los Angeles tomorrow. I have lots of work I did so far on this journey and more on the trip back that I will post.
Lucky I brought my paints along on this trip'
