The 12 Hour K.O!!!!

Steady testing my photoshop speed, so I used a few Capcom characters from my favorite fighting game Street Fighter. Elena took the longest in comparison and I kinda made a boo boo on Ryu's neck muscle but thats what happens when I'm only caring about speed. Total time for them all was about 12 Hours. Check My Blog if you curious at the time spent on each one.

Hope Everyones Memorial Day is off the hook.

Peace and Luv,

Here's a lunch time sketch I did the other day. Experimenting with some new Photoshop brushes I scanned it in and painted to try and work in some dimensions.mad

Meet The Friendly's

I figured its alright to post this up here as long as the appropriate rights are mentioned.

This was my first official design gig, receipt and all. I'm happy with the results even though, like most artists...I wish I just had a little more time.

Nonetheless I was happy to be a part of it.

stargate atlantis fan art

Here's some more fan art from the art fest I participated in on LJPainted Spires. It was just the thing to get my creative juices flowing. :) Seriously, I think this is a record for most completed art pieces in the shortest period of time. I completed all these in about a week span, though I started on the last one first.

Brotherly Luv

You'd have to be blind if visit here often and haven't seen/heard of the character "Brotherman".

I had a conversation with the homie and co-creator McGee a couple weeks back about my interpretation of the character and knew automatically I'd draw up a more menacing version by mixing his features in with my all time favorite villian Bane (from Batman). So I was compelled to sketch one out quick. Took about 20 -25 minutes but this was more so a study with shadows for me more so than anything. I'm always curious to see how on-point I am with things without lifting the pencils from the paper or erasing. So that explains why this looks rougher than most of the stuff you seen from me.

He definitely eats his Wheaties though don't he? :)

Peace and Luv,
MAS

Dawud Anyabwile Sketchbook is coming soon!

I have finally put together my first sketchbook that will be available for sale by the end of the month! An effort that I must thank my new team on for the encouragement. You know who you are! This book is just the first installment which will make way for bigger and better publications in the near future!

Keep an eye out for the Big City Entertainment team that has been designing the blueprints for a new age of visual revolutionaries!

Peace.

Orphan Works petition

Hi everyone,

The email below will be self-explanatory. There is an important issue facing us as artists, related to the copyrights of our works, which corporations wish to control and take at our expense. You could lose ownership of the art you create. We must put a stop to this immediately unless you wish to see others owning and plagiarizing your art.

This is too important to ignore please participate and forward to your others.

Congress is rushing these bills through to a floor vote. The House will start marking up their version of the bill at 2:00 today; the Senate will do so tomorrow. To try to stop this bill, we first need to slow down the race to get it passed.

FROM THE ILLUSTRATORS' PARTNERSHIP

Take Action: Don't Let Congress Orphan Our Work

We've set up an online site for visual artists to e-mail their Senators and Representatives with one click.

This site is open to professional artists, photographers and any member of the image-making public.

We've provided sample letters from individuals representing different sectors of the visual arts.

If you're opposed to the Orphan Works act, this site is yours to use.

For international artists and our colleagues overseas, we've provided a special link, with a sample letter and instructions as to whom to write.

2 minutes is all it takes to write Congress and protect your copyright:
